TransLink encourages taking transit to the Invictus Games
Staff and volunteers ready to help riders navigate the system
VANCOUVER, BC – TransLink is ready to take athletes and spectators to the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 taking place from February 8 to 16 at various venues, with the Vancouver Convention Centre serving as the main hub for the games.
Taking transit during the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025:
Opening Ceremony at BC Place (Feb. 8)
- BC Place is a five-minute walk or roll from Stadium–Chinatown Station on the Expo Line and is accessible by elevator at the Beatty Street exit.
- BC Place is a 10-minute walk or roll from Yaletown–Roundhouse Station and Vancouver City Centre Station on the Canada Line. Both stations have elevator access.
- Gates A, B, and H at BC Place have step-free access from Terry Fox Plaza off Beatty Street.
Closing Ceremony at Rogers Arena (Feb. 16)
- Rogers Arena is accessible by elevator at the Beatty Street exit from Stadium–Chinatown Station.
- Gates 1, 2, and 8 at Rogers Arena will be accessible to all attendees and are less than a five-minute walk or roll away on the Dunsmuir Viaduct.
Bus routes 14, 19, and 6 stop near BC Place and Rogers Arena. Some downtown Vancouver buses may be rerouted for events. SeaBus will depart from Lonsdale Quay an hour earlier at 7:03 a.m. on Sunday, February 9 to accommodate events at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

Take the Route 33 bus at Bay 4 on Cambie Street

- Closest bus exchange: UBC Exchange
- Take the Route 44 bus from downtown Vancouver or the Canada Line to Broadway–City Hall Station and transfer to the 99 B-Line at Bay 4 on West Broadway

Extra signage at Waterfront and Stadium–Chinatown stations will direct customers to accessible station entrances and exits. Display maps will also provide information on venue locations. Transit staff and volunteers will be on the SkyTrain system to assist customers.

About Invictus Games:
Founded in 2014 by Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, the Invictus Games is an international adaptive sporting competition for wounded, injured, and sick service personnel and Veterans. This will be the seventh Invictus Games — the second to be hosted in Canada — and the first-ever to feature winter sports. Roughly 550 competitors from up to 23 nations will compete in 11 adaptive sporting events throughout Vancouver and Whistler.
